Amritsar, 4th September 2013 (Bharat Sandesh) :— Mr. Anil Joshi, Technical Education Minister, Punjab today extended his warm greetings to the teaching fraternity on the occasion of Teacher’s Day and urged them to make all out efforts to infuse the noble qualities of discipline, righteousness, truthfulness, sense of integrity, high character and dedication amongst the students.
Expressing this in the message on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, that coincides with the birth anniversary of former President of India late Dr. Sarvpali Radha Krishnan and an eminent academician, Statesman a great Philosopher.
Mr. Joshi said that teachers are the foundation of good schools, and good schools are the pillars of healthy and democratic communities. Teachers are the keys to achieve all goals. He said that teachers could play an important role of supportive friends, guides and counselors for the students besides imparting value based education to enable them to become ideal citizens of the society. He appealed to the teachers to be devoted to their work, embrace innovation and serve as exemplary models for their students. He also called on authorities at all levels to give more support to education, safeguard teachers interest and upgrade the training for teachers, especially those in the rural areas.
Mr. Joshi assured the teachers that the State Government was making concerted efforts to create a congenial atmosphere to enable them to discharge their duties efficiently manner.
